Once again I've been censored from my excitement (or should I say Ned's excitement?) and I must post the real title here: "Look at You, Yuck... Look at Your Face!" Yay!!! Hooray for new printer ink! I finally got me some new references and I am a happy clam! I like how this turned out. I tried to draw his desk behind him, but I forgot how horrible I am at architecture, so I scrapped that idea... I kind of like it better with the plain background. It looks a bit cleaner. I apologize for the random dots you might see, my scanner has issues and I've cleaned it about a bazillion times but they won't go away... grrrr. Anywho (hey, I said "Who" again...^^) this is Ned McDodd, Mayor of Whoville, looking up at a portrait of the Chairman in his office, preparing to throw his stapler into the painting. Poor Ned, he doesn't know the consequences of his actions as of yet... I drew this with an HB pencil and that's about it.

Oh my god you're really good at this!! And This was hilarious... XD I still laugh every time that I see it! Poor Ned, the Stapler seems to have a love-hate thing for him!! XD..

Man, you are amazing at shading. This looks EXACTLY like him in the movie, desk or not! Total win here!
Uh oh. Poor Ned's gonna have an ouch in a second. Loved that bit in the movie. Acctually, if Ned hadn't gotten himself stapled in the noggin, he wouldn't have screamed so loud and met Horton in the first place. Huh. Weird how things like that work out.

Thank you very much. *blushes* I love this part, and I started cracking up in the theatre when I heard him say "...your face," cuz I'm one of those annoying kids who does "your face" jokes all of the time with my friends, so that's what it reminded me of. ^^ Unfortunately, I was the only one in the theatre that laughed at that moment, and well... let's just say my laugh carries... ^^ Thank you so much. I love hearing from you! >'.'< miau

ROTFLMAO!! OMG, I have that same problem, well had it too!! XD Y'see no one was laughing at these certain parts besides me and my friend, especially at the anime! WTF!? XD
Thank you so much! I loved this scene too, and I especially love the little smirk expression he gives and that's why I wanted to draw it so much! Thank you. ^^ >'.'< miau

Thank you so vewy much! *blushes* And, dude, you are so totally right! It's funny how fate (or in this case, plot, I guess) works that way. I loved this scene and I was laughing so hard, but no one else in the theatre laughed until he got stapled. That made me feel even worse for poor Ned; people laughing at his pain. Thank you so much for all of the wonderful comments!!! >'.'< miau

I know, right?! The little nuances that you relate with, just because of the way a line is said, or the expression given are the best parts, and too many people miss those and just laugh at the obvious jokes. I totally agree with you about that anime scene!!! I was practically hyperventilating and my parents were just sitting there, maybe chuckling now and again, cuz they don't really care for any anime, and therefore, they didn't get any of the jokes. But when I went with my friend, who is a total anime/manga buff we laughed sooooo hard! It was awesome! >'.'< miau
